01/13/2016 11:01 PMProfessional organizer Sheri Bertolini approaches home organizing a little differently.
For her, peace and happiness in the home doesn’t begin with boxes, containers, cute baskets, or labels. She believes connecting with the heart of who you are is the first step to bringing calm and contentment to your home.
She will be the featured speaker at the Madison Happiness Club on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Road, Madison at 7 p.m.
Bertolini guides people through a process of connecting with the heart, a vision, a sense of purpose and values before sorting or purging.
The “why” behind the culture in the home will far outlast stuff, so her theory is to shape an atmosphere that reflects the heart and supports the individual’s life. It’s not about a perfect home, but a home that fits you perfectly, she says.
Through personal stories and engaging activities, Bertolini offers tips, tools, and encouragement for those who need a fresh perspective about their abode.
Bertolini has served as a professional organizer since 2005. She’s also been a teacher, a coach, a musician, single until age 41, a stepmom, and now a grandmother. She and her family recently moved to the Connecticut shoreline to live near family, ocean, and great pizza. Her passion is simply to help others live a full and intentional life, true to their heart, and that, she says, starts at home.
