Children’s Book Author Returns to the Shoreline
Kristine Lombardi returns to Connecticut for a two-event day on Tuesday, July 21, to share her book, Lovey Bunny.
Lovey Bunny is the happiest little girl around. She loves just about everything—her family, art, watching her mama make things, and especially playing dress-up. But when she borrows Mama Rabbit’s new dress without asking and ruins it, Lovey Bunny learns that not everything always goes as planned. Will Lovey Bunny find a creative way to show Mama that she’s sorry?
At 11 a.m., Lombardi will be at Breakwater Books, 81 Whitfield Street, Guilford, for a storytime that will include a reading, book signing, and craft project. Call 203-453-4141 to reserve a seat.
In addition, the Edward Smith Library, 3 Old Post Road, Northford, will host Lombardi as part of its Children’s Summer Program at 6:30 p.m. on July 21. For more information on the summer programs and to view the entire summer schedule, visit www.nbranfordlibraries.wix.com.
After a lengthy art directing career in advertising, Lombardi decided to pursue illustration full time in 2003. She loves what she does and has recently added “author” to her title with the debut of her first picture book, Lovey Bunny. Her second book launches in spring 2016. Lombardi also teaches illustration classes at the Montclair Art Museum. She is a member of SCBWI, CBIG, and The Author’s Guild.
The talks are free; books will be for sale at Breakwater Books and at the Smith Library.
