IMAGES 2015 Photography Auction Set for April 7

Funes Alone Had More Memories than All of Mankind Combined, photograph, by Karin Hillmer

Shoreline Arts Alliance (SAA) announces the second year of an event held in conjunction with the annual IMAGES photography competition and exhibition. Some of the alumni photographers of the IMAGES program have donated photographs for a special auction evening during the IMAGES 2015 exhibition. On Tuesday, April 7, beginning at 6 p.m., the public is invited to a sneak preview of the IMAGES 2015 exhibition and to participate in a silent and live auction of art from past award-winning IMAGES photographers at the Mill Gallery of Guilford Art Center, 411 Church Street. Many of the photographers who have donated their work to SAA for this event have or have had work hung in prestigious galleries around the country.

Work will be presented by Eric Hummel, auctioneer for this special event. The donated photographs embrace a wide variety of subject matter. SAA will also be adding several photos from its collection. To view photos in the auction, visit www.shorelinearts.org.

Many of the artists will be in attendance and guests will have an opportunity to meet them and learn about their work as photographers while they sip, snack, and share in the photographic excellence of Connecticut artists. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations required; RSVP via email to donita@shorelinearts.org.

IMAGES 2015 is a competition open to all photographers living in Connecticut. The exhibition is on display through Saturady, April 11 in the Mill Gallery.
