He is now retired and lives in a little town called Paradise in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Alex gets that dreaded “courtesy” call from his old sergeant telling him that a young man he put away is getting out of prison. Alex returns to Detroit and becomes involved in the case anew. What he discovers is that maybe the real killer got away. Hamilton is a great mystery writer who knows how to hold your interest.
