The Bard (Abridged)
Shoreline Arts Alliance celebrates the 11th season of its free Shakespeare on the Shoreline program with a production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) performed by Shakespeare Productions from Wednesday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. on the Guilford Town Green.
Shakesperience Productions, Inc., is the standard bearer for Shakespeare, as well as theater- and literature-based outreach in Connecticut. Over the past fourteen years, Artistic Director Emily Mattina, together with Executive Director Jeffrey Lapham, has guided Shakesperience to become a valued arts-in-education provider, annually performing more than 650 workshops and performances for approximately 70,000 students in more than 70 communities in Connecticut.
The production was written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, this summer's Shakespeare on the Shoreline production. In the event of rain, the performance is canceled. Performances are family friendly and free. Bring blankets, chairs and picnic dinners (no alcohol permitted) and enjoy an evening of "theater under the stars."
