Dorrian B. Galvin, the daughter of Chris and Mary Jane Galvin of Guilford, is engaged to wed Jessica Wick, the daughter of Susan Hyde-Wick and John Wick of Woodbury. Dori’s grandparents are Miriam and Thomas Dorrian of Madison and Lucille Galvin of Newport, Rhode Island. Jessie’s grandmother is Mrs. Peter A. Wick of East Granby.

Dori (left in photo), a 2001 graduate of Guilford High School, earned her bachelor’s of arts from New York University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Harvard Graduate School of Education after eight years of teaching in California.

Jessie earned a bachelor’s of arts from the University of Redlands in California and a certificate in cabinetry and furniture-making from Laney College in Oakland, California. She divides her time working for an urban composting company and managing a small non-profit in Boston.

The couple met in Oakland and now resides in Somerville, Massachusetts. A September wedding is planned.
