The bride, who grew up in Guilford, is the daughter of Robin Perrone of Branford and Michael Zarnetske of North Branford. She is the step-daughter of Thomas Perrone of Branford. The groom is the son of Joe and Margie Caplis of Bossier Parish, Louisiana.
The ceremony was officiated by Mike Keowan and was followed by a reception on the balcony of the Women’s Bobsled Start House, home of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Katie Olson served as matron of honor. Jeffrey Caplis, brother of the groom, served as best man. The couple’s dogs, Remi and Axel, also served as attendants.
The bride earned a bachelor’s of science in geoscience and environmental science from William Smith College, a master’s in science in geology from Utah State University, and a master’s of arts in teaching and learning from the University of Utah. She is employed as a junior high school teacher in Park City, Utah.
The groom earned a bachelor’s of science in animal science from Louisiana State University (LSU) and a doctorate of veterinary medicine from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. He works at Southeast Valley Clinic in Sandy, Utah.
