06/21/2012 02:00 PMBridget Jane Smith will wed Anthony John Alfone on the beach at Anthony’s Ocean View on Saturday, June 30.
The future bride is the daughter of Denison C. Smith, Jr., of Branford and the late Rita Smith. She is the granddaughter of Claire Smith of Branford, the late Denison C. Smith, Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cappiello.
The future groom is the son of John and Cheryl Alfone of Branford. He is the grandson of Connie Iaquessa of East Haven and the late Richard Iaquessa, Sr., and John and Sheila Alfone of New Haven.
The future groom proposed on the future bride’s birthday, Dec. 16, 2010, during a horse and carriage ride through Central Park in New York City.
Sandy Wright will officiate the ceremony, which will be followed by a reception at the same location.
The bride will be escorted by her father. The maid of honor will be Brittany Redman of Branford. Bridesmaids will include sisters of the bride Kelly and Erin Smith of Branford and sister of the groom Marissa Alfone of Providence, Rhode Island, as well as Lyndsie Ryalls of Boston, Massachusetts, and Keri Hanrahan of Newburgh, New York.
Bernie Kennedy of Branford will serve as the best man. Groomsmen will be Brian Fitter, Evan Hurney, and Rijad Bekic, all of Branford; Anthony Rodriguez of Hamden; and Colin Sheehan of Astoria, New York.
The couple’s beloved bulldog, Madeline, will serve as the flower girl.
The bride and groom are 2003 graduates of Branford High School and are high school sweethearts.
The bride is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College, from which she received both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in human services. She currently works at ACES Village School in North Haven as an applied behavior analysis trainer.
Upon high school graduation, the groom graduated from ICPA and earned a position as a heating and air conditioning technician for Air, Inc., in Branford, at which he is currently employed as service manager.
The couple currently resides in Branford and will honeymoon in St. Lucia in August.
