Westbrook Police Incident Report for April 16 and 17

• A 41 year-old Rocky Hill woman was issued a citation at 12:42 p.m. for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after the 2001 Ford Expedition she was operating struck the rear of a 1996 Honda Civic operated by a 44 year-old man of North Broadway in Westbrook who was stopped for traffic at the intersection of Routes 1 and 153. The force of the impact pushed the Honda into the rear of a stopped 2004 Chevy Cavalier operated by a 24 year-old Chester man (who had a 53 year-old woman onboard of the same residence). The Chevy was, in turn, shoved into the rear of a stationary 2001 Volkswagen Passat operated by a 50 year-old man of Hudson, Vermont. The operators of the Honda and the Chevy complained of neck and back pain but refused medical treatment from Westbrook Volunteer Ambulance personnel.
