What are your kids saying? Are we listening?
Old Saybrook Healthy Community Healthy Youth is hosting an important event on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 pm at The Kate that we hope you will attend. HCHY Board Members and a panel of experts – Old Saybrook youth – will review the data from Old Saybrook’s most recent survey of students in grades 6 – 12, titled A Profile of Student Life: Attitudes and Behaviors. There will also be a chance to ask the representative student panel about youth perceptions of opportunities and risks in Old Saybrook.
Let's grab the opportunity to talk about the meaning behind the data, to hear what our kids think about their daily experiences at school, at home and in the community…to understand what their anonymous survey responses tell us about what they still need from their community to thrive and succeed.
Join us as we grab the opportunity to begin exploring ways we can rise to meet the needs of youth who will be inheriting the Old Saybrook community – our future employers, commissioners, coaches, teachers, clergy, and parents.
