Oliver Lee Conner, 74, of 81 East Main St., Branford, died Dec. 12 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving spouse, Irene (Renee) Bickford. He was born Dec. 22, 1935 in Yulee, Florida, son of the late John L. and Minnie Rowe Conner. Mr. Conner was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who proudly served his country during the Korean War.  He was retired from the South Shore Wine and Spirits liquor store.  Formerly of Yulee, Florida, he was a longtime Branford resident.

He is survived by his beloved children, David Conner of North Carolina, Thomas J. Conner, James E. Conner, and Anita Haasze,  all of West Palm Beach, Florida, Lisa Roberts and her husband Bruce of Wellington, Florida, and Brigitte Conner Farrell and her husband Joe of Big Spring, Texas; two stepchildren, Harry Bickford and his wife Lisa and Diane VanSteenbergen and her husband Barry, both of Guilford; and five siblings, John Conner of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Cecil Conner of Hilliard, Florida, Merrylene Green of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Lillian Boyles of Yulee, Florida, and Libby Wells of St. Mary’s, Georgia.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Marion Conner; a sister, Kathleen Miner; and his niece Veleda.
