Sally L. MacAdams, 101, North Haven
Sally Logue MacAdams, 101, of North Haven, died on Oct. 20 at the Arden House Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hamden. She was the wife of the late Alan J. MacAdams. Sally was born in Manhattan, New York, on April 11, 1911, daughter of the late Walter and Selma Cheney Logue. She had worked as a secretary for Equitable Life Assurance before moving to North Haven in 1944, accompanying her late husband.
Active and independent, Sally was renowned for her remarkable memory for birthday and anniversary dates of friends and relatives. When recently complimented on this centennial ability, she simply replied: “What helps, as time goes by, is that your list of dear ones is continually shorter.”
She is survived by two children, Alan L. MacAdams and his wife Norma of Rio De Janiero, Brazil, and Eileen M. Frame and her husband William F. of North Haven. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Alison McGurrin and her husband Robert of Arlington, Massachusetts, and William D. Frame II and Timothy A. Frame, both of North Haven; and a great-granddaughter, Audrey J. McGurrin.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 9:30 a.m., for a mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden. www.northhavenfuneral.com
