Family Fun, Food & Games on the Town Green

 

PRESS RELEASE: Mark your calendars and ready your sneakers for Family Fun, Food & Games on the Branford Town Green.

Every second and fourth Tuesday this summer (6/11, 6/25, 7/9, 7/23, 8/13, 8/27), from 5:30-6:30, from 5:30-6:30, the CDR and the East Shore Health Department (ESHD) will host a fun, family-themed evening of outdoor games followed by a full picnic dinner. There is no cost for this event.

“Summer sports activities are a great way for family members of all ages to get outdoors and be active,” said Patricia Kral, Executive Director of the Community Dining Room. “Over the years, the Branford Town Green has become a focal point for summer activities, from frisbee to running and walking to jazz concerts. We want to give back to the community by providing another way for the entire family to enjoy the beautiful warm weather together, exercise and have some fun.

“Just bring your sneakers, a water bottle and a blanket,” added Kral. “We’ll provide the fun and picnic."

About the Community Dining Room

Serving the Connecticut shoreline since 1985, the Community Dining Room (CDR) provides nutritious meals 365 days a year through a home delivery program, Sunday through Friday as well as each 2www.communitydiningroom.org.
