Nothing like taking a jog from Connecticut to Massachusetts, huh?

This morning at 7 a.m., 190 teams— double the amount participating last year— from Connecticut and across the tri-state area set off from the James Blackstone Memorial Library as part of the Ragnar Relay New England, a day and night run.

The local sponsor, soundRUNNER, sent three teams of area runners on the multi-mile trek from Branford to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Each relay team consists of 12 runners who share shifts of 13 to 18 miles over the entire distance. Each runner has to pull his or her own weight for three relay legs.

The soundRUNNER crew was also joined by a team of Branford High School students.
