Old Saybrook Police Incident Report for Aug. 31 and Sept. 1
The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Friday, Aug. 31
• No arrests were made.
• Three Plainville men ages 27, 28, and 30 were issued citations at 12:03 a.m. for creating a public disturbance at Cornfield Point Beach.
• A 37 year-old New Haven man was issued a citation at 1:56 a.m. for improper use of highway by a pedestrian after he was stopped by police on Route 1 in front of the Monkey Farm.
• A 50 year-old Westbrook woman was issued a citation at 5:35 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway on Boston Post Road at Ingham Hill Road.
Saturday, Sept. 1
• A 51 year-old woman of Essex Road was arrested at 1:27 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and burglary in the second degree.
• A 15 year-old was arrested at 3:31 p.m. on a warrant held by Old Saybrook police charging criminal trespass, criminal mischief in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and reckless endangerment in the second degree.
• A 16 year-old was arrested at 5:25 p.m. on a warrant held by Old Saybrook police charging criminal trespass in the third degree.
