Friends and family gather to admire the memorial bench dedicated on July 7 to the late Police Sergeant Joseph Buonome, who died in February. The bench was donated by East Haven Police Union Local 1662. Many spoke at the ceremony to remember the man who, in addition to three decades of service on the police force, served his hometown through the Rotary and Lions clubs among many other community contributions.
