New Dishwasher to Keep up with Senior Lunch Demand in Madison

Another indication that the Madison senior citizen lunch program is booming is that the Board of Selectmen just authorized hiring an additional dishwasher to keep up with the workload.
“This is a good thing,” said First Selectman Tom Banisch about the addition of personnel to keep up with the demand.
The Senior Center Café, which opened a few months ago, has been serving nearly triple the number of individuals it served last year.
Senior Services Director Austin Hall said café has been a big hit among seniors and has helped to bolster the center’s other programs as well.
