Three Valley Players Help Connecticut Hurricanes Win Title

Featuring three players who’ve competed for Valley Regional High School, the Connecticut Hurricanes won the U.S. Baseball U-18 championship in Richmond, Virginia after beating the Virginia Cardinals 7-4 in the title game. Recent Valley graduate Arik Sypher pitched 11 innings with a 2.39 earned-run average and a save in the tournament. Matt Robida posted a .333 batting average, while fellow Valley senior Fletcher Suedmeier also contributed to the championship.
