Barney T. Miller, 81, of 18 Dover Rd., North Haven, passed away Aug. 4 at his home. He was the husband of the late Anna-Mae Lyons Miller. Barney was born in Cheshire, Massachusetts, on March 16, 1935, son of the late Max H. Miller and Ruth Tanner (Miller) Manger.
He worked for L.G. DeFelice and F.P. Ryan for more than 40 years until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW Post #10128, the American Legion Post #76, the Elks Lodge #1365, the Teamsters Local #443 and its Retiree Chapter, and the New Haven Raccoon Club.
He was the brother of Max R. Miller of Higganum and the late Leona R. (Miller) Callahan and Delna C. (Miller) Moran. He was predeceased by his stepfather Emil B. Manger, a brother, Donald K. Miller, and stepbrothers Milton H. Kilian and Floyd Manger.
Funeral Services were conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., on Aug. 9 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Gerald Jones officiating. Family and friends called from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment was private and at the convenience of the family.
