Chester Grand List Numbers Are In
The town of Chester’s Grand List realized a very small increase over the previous year with a total of $443,781,440. This amount is an increase of just 0.18 or $8,045,800 over the previous year.
According to Chester Assessor Loreta Zdanys, these numbers align with what is happening in surrounding towns.
“From what I see in other towns, this is a pretty normal increase for Chester,” said Zdanys.
The net real estate total for Chester is $400,638,690, up slightly from last year’s number of $398,866,600. The personal property (primarily business equipment) total value is $14,842,130, just barely up from last year’s $14,791,350, and the net motor vehicle total is $28,310,620, which is down slightly from the previous year’s $28,849,320.
