Farrell to Hold Second Parenting Talk
Psychologist Dr. Alicia Farrell, who spoke to Valley-area students and parents about anxiety earlier this year, is returning Wednesday, April 4 to talk about Building Resilience and Grit in our Youth.
The talk runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at John Winthrop Middle School; all are welcome to attend this free event.
Deep River Elementary School social worker Laura Kasprow said Farrell’s January presentation, Anxiety: The Monster Among Us, which focused on stress versus anxiety, signs and symptoms, parenting tips, and resources, was both well attended and well received. This positive response inspired Region #4 Schools to bring her back for another presentation.
Her upcoming presentation, according to Deep River Elementary School’s weekly newsletter “will delve deeper into helping parents understand and develop resilience and grit in our children.”
Farrell’s website aliciafarrellphd.com says her mission is to help “individuals, couples, families, and organizations to find their strength and courage to make healthy decisions and changes in their lives and businesses.”
