Police Incident Report for July 21 to 27
The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Thursday, July 21
No arrests were made.
• A vehicle repossession was scheduled for 51 Bittersweet Circle at 5:50 a.m.
• A theft was investigated at 2418 Boston Post Road at 1:32 p.m.
• A theft was investigated at 100 Village Walk at 5:22 p.m. A caller stated that the same person was stealing food from the restaurant for the past two days.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 1057 Boston Post Road at 7:19 p.m. A complainant stated that a leaf blower was stolen from the rear of his truck while it was parked in the CVS parking lot between 2:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.
Friday, July 22
No arrests were made.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at 4423 Durham Road at 2 p.m. A neighbor reported seeing a red car through her security camera going up and down a driveway that is shared with multiple houses. Police learned the vehicle belonged to a friend of one of the homeowners on the driveway and was in the wrong location trying to locate the correct residence.
• A drug overdose was reported at 8:30 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Saturday, July 23
No arrests were made.
• A noise complaint was investigated on the 1000 block of Little Meadow Road at 10 p.m. A caller stated that the neighbors behind him were having a loud party that he could hear from his bedroom while he was trying to sleep. The homeowners of the house with the party were advised by police to turn down the music.
Sunday, July 24
No arrests were made.
Monday, July 25
• A 46 year-old Killingworth man was arrested at 8:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
• A 20 year-old Quaker Hill man was arrested at 9:45 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 1:44 a.m. Trash was thrown onto the high school field.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 43 Moose Hill Road at 2:30 a.m. A caller reported that her mailbox was blown up over the weekend, possibly by a firework.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 7:50 p.m. The location was redacted by police for privacy concerns.
• Harassment was investigated at 8:02 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Tuesday, July 26
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about a missing juvenile was reported at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 1:10 p.m. The complaint was withdrawn before police could arrive at the school. The youth in question walked home from school.
• A theft was investigated at 60 Little Meadow Road at 3:37 p.m.
• Neighbor trouble (a dispute over land) was investigated on the 300 block of Jefferson Drive at 7:34 p.m.
• A suicide was investigated at 11:59 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Wednesday, July 27
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 396 Northwood Drive at 4:51 p.m. The complainant was scammed out of $750 through Zelle.
• Breach of peace was investigated on the 600 block of Boston Post Road at 6:58 p.m.
