Rev. Wilson Lee Busick, 83, Chester, South Carolina, formerly of Clinton
Rev. Wilson Lee Busick, 83, of Chester, South Carolina, formerly of Clinton, died Nov. 8 at his residence. He was the husband of 60 years to Jessie Rodman Busick. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina, on Sept. 7, 1927, son of the late Verdie Lee Busick and Sarah Platt Busick. He was a graduate of the High School of Charleston, the College of Charleston, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at Wake Forest, North Carolina. He had also served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Rev. Busick was ordained at the Circular Congregational Church in Charleston, South Carolina. For over 20 years, he served in the First Church of Christ Congregational in Clinton, where he was named minister emeritus. He also served in the United Church of Christ in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the First Congregational Church in Asheville, North Carolina, and the Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church in Chester, South Carolina.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Wilson P. Busick of Middletown; his daughter, Katherine B. Gindhart of Columbia, South Carolina; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service, officiated by The Rev. Annette Bedford, The Rev. Oscar Burdette, and Hospice Chaplain Verner Thornhill, was held on Nov. 9 at Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church.
