Town Budget on NB Town Council Agenda
An overview of North Branford's Town Budget for 2016-17 will be part of the regular Town Council meeting agenda on Tues. March 15 at Town Hall (7 p.m.)
The budget presentation will give an overview of expected operating expenses and capital expenses for all government departments (Police, Fire, Public Works, etc.) in order to allow the Town Council to begin the process of setting a new budget for the next fiscal year.
The town budget will also include a schools budget submitted by the Board of Education and subject to Town Council review. In February, the BOE voted to recommend a $31.8 million budget for the 2016-17 school year, and sent it on to the Town Council, which also acts as the town's finance board.
