Valley Shore YMCA Receives Grant from Local Companies
Westbrook, CT. – The Valley Shore YMCA is honored to announce it has received a generous grant of $116,854 through the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act Program with the help of 4 local companies to support the costs of their new air control system in the gymnasium.
Ameriprise, Whelen Engineering, Jensen Communities, and Connecticut Water all came together to support this project. States Chris Pallatto, the YMCA’s Executive Director, “We are so grateful to have received the generous support of these 4 companies; as a central hub of recreation in the Valley Shore area, thousands of people use our gymnasium each year. Our new air control system will improve the comfort level of everyone who visits and enhance the collective experience of our recreational community. They are community leaders in the true sense of the word - we could not have done this without them!”
The Valley Shore YMCA is located on Spencer Plains Road in Westbrook.
