James Darcy, age 67, of Deep River, passed away at his home on June 22. Beloved son of the late John and Eva Darcy, Jim was a lifelong resident of Deep River.
Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He was a long-term employee of Fortune Plastics in Old Saybrook. Jim dealt with many challenges and adversities in his life and is remembered for his devotion to his mother Eva with whom he lived and whom he cared for during her later years. He is survived by his three brothers, William of Ashford, Robert of Douglas, Massachusetts, and Thomas of Hadlyme; as well as his two nieces Ariana and Rachelle, and his nephew Jack.
