Branford Goes Back to School Sept. 4
Branford goes back to school on Tuesday, Sept. 4 with some major bus and parent-drop off adjustments at Walsh Intermediate School (WIS), due to construction that will be underway all year as work continues to expand and renovate the building (see related story).
Branford public school students attend Branford High School (BHS) in grades 9 to 12; WIS for grades 5 to 8 and one of three elementary schools serving pre-K through grade 4 students: Mary T. Murphy Elementary School, John B. Sliney Elementary School, and Mary R. Tisko Elementary School.
BHS begins its day at 7:25 a.m. and dismisses students at 2:25 p.m. WIS school hours for students are 8:05 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Daily school hours at the town’s three elementary schools are 8:55 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
School bus transportation is provided by First Student Inc. All bus schedules are posted at www.branford.k12.us under Parents and Students, where school lunch menu information is also available.
