Edward Busch, 83, Northford
Edward Busch, 83, of Northford, died on Dec. 12 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Jean Malboeuf Busch. Edward was born in Hartford on Oct. 12, 1929, son of the late Anthony and Katharine Yedraitis Bucevicius. He was a graduate of the former Boardman Trade School in mechanics and had been a shop foreman for the former Cooley Chevrolet of New Haven for 32 years and later for McDermott Chevrolet for five years until his retirement. Edward also enjoyed vegetable gardening, snowmobiling, boating, and fishing, and he was a car enthusiast.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Edward V. Busch II and his wife Lynn, Donna Tancreti and her husband Paul of New Port Richey, Florida, and Valerie DiStasio of Northford and her fiancé Joseph Gallagi. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Laura Busch and her husband Jeff LaBlanc, Tracey Morris and her husband Tom, Paul Tancreti and his wife Amanda, Michael Tancreti, Ashley DiStasio, and Louis DiStasio, Jr., as well as five great-grandchildren. His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 9:15 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church at 10 a.m., followed by burial in the Northford Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday, Dec. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m.
