The Westbrook Blue Junior American Legion squad had an interesting week last week as Post 103 had a contest that was halted after nine innings because of darkness.

On July 3, Post 103 had a home game against Middletown Red at Westbrook High School and it was suspended with the score tied 1-1 after nine innings. Westbrook scored its run in the first inning and Middeltown tied it in the sixth. Nash Eppard tossed five solid innings for Westbrook Blue (10-10-1) with Arik Sypher throwing the final four.
