Doris Groenwegen, 93, North Branford, formerly of Madison and Wappingers Falls, New York
Doris Groenwegen, 93, a long time resident of Madison, formerly of Wappingers Falls, New York, died Feb. 27 at Evergreen Woods in North Branford. She was the wife of the late Quirinus Groenwegen. She was born in Middletown on May 15, 1917, daughter of the late Patrick and Rose Hart Kidney.
She is survived by three children, Quirina Wilde and her husband William of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Paul Groenwegen and his wife Nancy of Glenmont, New York, and Tricia Royston and her husband Richard of Madison. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Erika January, Michael Wilde, Nicholas and David Royston, and Philip Groenwegen; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, at 3 p.m., at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Burial will be private.
