Eleanor Corbett, 85, Branford
Eleanor Corbett, 85, wife of George Corbett, Jr. of Branford, died on Nov. 4. Eleanor was born in Branford on Feb. 13, 1927, daughter of Julius and Gina Spadacenta Torelli. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church and a lifelong Branford resident.
Eleanor’s family thanks all the nurses of Ledgewood for their care and support.
Besides her husband, Eleanor is survived by four children, Bonnie Corbett and her partner Carol Sulik of Pennsylvania, George Corbett III and his wife Lauren of Wellesley, Massachusetts, William Corbett and his wife Jean of Milford, and Joan Risner and her husband Roger of Madison. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Emily and Amanda Risner and Alexandra Corbett. She was predeceased by three brothers, Louis, George, and Leno Torelli, and three sisters, Mary Monaco, Leah Silvestro, and Rose Napoleon.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Church in Branford, followed by private burial. Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 5to 7 p.m., at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford. See online memorial @ www.wsclancy.com.
