Thomas Thorpe, 81, of East Haven passed away Dec. 14 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was born Dec. 7 to Thomas and Mary (Coughlin) Thorpe.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marie O’Donnell and Anne Turcio. Thomas is survived by sister Ellen Thorpe of East Haven and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces/nephews.

Thomas was a US Army veteran and retired employee of Metro-North Railroad.

The family will receive friends on Dec. 18 from 10:15 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, with committal to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven.
