Luby Tadich, 82, died at his home in Branford on May 8, with his beloved wife of 52 years, Maria Tadich, by his side.  He was born in West Virginia on Feb. 26, 1929, son of the late Savo and Ann Tadich.  Luby was a chef for many years at many fine restaurants in the Greater New Haven area.  He was also a Mason.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Helen Fontaine and her husband Peter of Downey, California, Paula Sanchez and her husband Anthony of Naugatuck, and Lisa Wagner and her husband Martin of San Diego, California; four grandchildren, Nicole Genovese of New Britain, Ashley Sanchez of Naugatuck, and Katie and Thomas Wagner of San Diego, California; and a great-grandson, Vince Genovese.  He was predeceased by his son Steve Savo Tadich. 

Funeral services will be private. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, is in charge of arrangements.
