Patricia Anne Bodwell, 66, Winder, Georgia, formerly of North Branford
Patricia Anne Bodwell, 66, loving wife of David Bodwell, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter-in-law, died in Georgia on July 17 after a brief illness. Pat was born in New Haven on June 12, 1945, daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Nolan Aronson. She and David had lived in North Branford for many years, moving to a retirement community in Winder, Georgia, a few years ago. Pat loved baking and was very active in the new community she and Dave enjoyed in Winder. She also loved singing and sang with a choral group there. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Scott Bodwell and his wife Lisa of Newtown, Richard Bodwell of Snellville, Georgia, Christopher Bodwell and his wife Loretta of Dalton, Georgia, Eric Bodwell and his wife Laura of North Aurora, Illinois, and five cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Emily, Erica, and Christopher, Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jasoudowicz and her husband Tom of North Branford; two brothers, Arthur Aronson and his wife Joan of Killingworth, and Robert Aronson and his wife Marion of Clinton; several nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law, Edith Bodwell of North Branford.
A service celebrating her life will be held at the North Branford Congregational Church, 1680 Foxon Rd., on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Annette W. Snell Amyloidosis Foundation, Inc., 289 Jonesboro Rd., Suite 218, McDonough, Georgia 30253 (www.fightamyloidosis.org). The Keenan Funeral Home, North Branford, is in charge of arrangements.
