Clifford A.J. “Benny” Swirsky of West Haven died Nov. 4 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of the late Judith Haefey Swirsky. Mr. Swirsky was born Oct. 30, 1925, in Branford, son of the late Clifford and Antossie Swirsky.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, where he was a B24 tail gunner. He worked for many years as a salesman for the Whitney Blake Company before retiring.
He is survived by his three loving daughters, Diane Sass of Old Saybrook, Kim Conway of Milford, and Susan “Sue” Swirsky of West Haven; his grandchildren Lindsay Gravens, Elisabeth Kelley, and Peter Kelley; his great-grandchildren Abigail and Molly Vitola; and his sister Dorothy Young of Branford. He was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette “Tess” McGuire, and her husband Charles.
