Bill's Seafood Restaurant of Westbrook recently announced the recipients of the Bill's Seafood Scholar Athlete Scholarship Awards for 2019. The recipients of this year's awards are Morgan graduates Alex Kadlof and Delaney Mastriano, Old Saybrook graduates Gino Gallitto and Grace Hanratty, Valley Regional graduates Samantha Calamari and Brian Rankin, and Westbrook graduate Alexandria Young.

Traditionally, the proceeds from the Bill's Seafood Golf Tournament are awarded to student-athlete graduates from local high schools each year. Unfortunately, Bill's Seafood was unable to host its annual golf tournament this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the first time in 20 years that the tournament didn't take place.

However, the Bill's Seafood scholarship committee was still proud to select the winners of this year's scholarships and congratulates all of the award recipients. The winners of the scholarship awards are male and female students who have demonstrated positive character, leadership, and citizenship qualities throughout their high school careers. The recipients have also participated in their respective school's sports programs and plan to further their education at a four-year college, junior college, business, or vocational school.
