In Business: Foxglove & Madison Cheese
Eight years ago Fawn Nebinger opened the bath and body gift store Foxglove in Madison. Two and a half years ago, Foxglove grew to include its primary business: Madison Cheese, a specialty cheese shop carrying 40 to 50 rotating selections at any one time of the best cheese from all over the world. Foxglove & Madison Cheese has since relocated to 119 Samson Rock Drive, expanding to add a larger gourmet selection of appetizers, cooking items, cheese flights, and charcuterie to pair with standard and special cheese selections in stock. Sampling is highly encouraged, so customers can ask for a taste of any new cheese they'd like to try before purchasing it.
Well-known for its grilled cheese sandwich and soup, Foxglove & Madison Cheese carries one to two soups per day year 'round. Sandwiches are made to order. Custom orders are accepted, to include a specialty cheese with a starting price of $3.50 a sandwich plus the weight of the cheese. Custom-made gift baskets and cheese platters are also available.
Nebinger is also an oil and watercolor painter and she exhibits her work in her shop.
