Jerome John Golembeski, 85, formerly of Meriden, lived out his life in Madison. Jerome passed peacefully in the early morning of Dec. 5.
He was the husband of the late June Chadwick Golembeski. Together they raised five children, Dale Golembeski of Milton, Massachusetts, Gregg Golembeski of Killingworth, Cheryl Jett of St. Pete Beach, Florida, Kim Pasqualucci of Scituate, Massachusetts, and the late Gary Golembeski. Jerome is the treasured grandfather to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jerome loved his family and had a great passion for cooking, music, and watching UConn ladies’ basketball. He also loved family gatherings, swimming, and hiking and biking the local parks and beaches. He was born in Naniticoke, Pennsylvania, and served in the US Navy as a sonarman first class aboard the USS Agerholm. Jerome received a BS degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and became the controller of TimesFiber Communications in Wallingford.
He will be missed by many.
A memorial Mass was celebrated in his honor on Dec. 14 at St. Margaret’s Church, 24 Academy St., Madison. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nephcure Kidney International in search for a cure for Jerome’s grandson Cole, Nephcure Kidney International, 150 S.
