Branford Posting COVID 19 Community Updates
While several community-use town locations are closed, workers and staff for Town of Branford continue operating amidst the changing scope of COVID-19 precautions. Updates are being posted at www.branford-ct.gov, where residents can also find updates on the status of scheduled public meetings. The COVID-19 messages are also appearing as posts on the Town's official Facebook page (Town of Branford CT).

"COVID 19 Community Updates - Community Messages Regarding COVID 19
March 14, 2020: As you know, The Town of Branford is working closely with the East Shore District Health Department, federal, state and healthcare providers to monitor the 2019 Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The town is initiating the following measures to limit the exposure of our residents to the virus:
Schools - All schools will be closed effective Monday, March 16, 2020 including all after school activities until March 27, 2020.
Parks and Recreation - Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, the Parks and Recreation Department will suspend all programs for two weeks. For more information, please click the following link http://branfordct.myrec.com/info/default.aspx or call 203-488-8304.
Senior Center – Beginning Monday, programs and activities held at the Canoe Brook Senior Center will be suspended for two weeks. Other services such as social service assistance applications will still be available. Libraries - Beginning March 13, the James Blackstone Memorial Library and Willoughby Wallace Library are closed to the public. Animal Shelter - Effective today, the Daniel Cosgrove Animal Shelter will suspend all volunteer activity for two weeks and the building will be closed to walk in visitors.
