BACA Holiday Trees of Branford Includes New ‘Remember Tree’
Once again, a trove of creative Christmas trees, artfully decorated by local volunteers and sponsored by businesses or individuals, fills the beautiful gallery space of Branford Arts and Cultural Alliance (BACA) for its annual “Holiday Trees of Branford.” This year, a new “Remember Tree” has been designed and added to the mix, to help offer solace during the holidays for those who have lost a loved one.
A picture-insertable ornament is available at the galler, at at no charge, for those who would like to bring a photo to place on the Remember Tree. Participants may also place an ornament of their own choice on the tree. The gallery began placing ornaments on the Remember Tree on Nov. 14 and will continue to offer the program through the holidays.
The Remember Tree is joined this year by 36 beautifully decorated, pre-lit artificial trees of various sizes filling the gallery which are available for purchase or bidding via silent auction. Bidding opened Nov. 14 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 8. All event proceeds benefit nonprofit BACA.
As always, BACA encourages the public to visit, and invites families to bring the kids to explore the indoor winter wonderland inside the downtown gallery at 1004 Main Street. Additionally, on Thurs. Nov. 21, BACA will hold a kick off Holiday Tree and Artist Reception at the gallery from 5 to 8 p.m. For more information on this and other BACA events, visit branfordarts.org
