Exquisite Miniatures, featuring the work of American husband and wife team Wes and Rachelle Siegrist, will be on view at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum, 625 Williams Street, New London, from Wednesday, Nov. 9 to Jan. 26. The miniature paintings, sometimes mistaken for tiny photographs, are referred to as tiny treasures by collectors. They measure less than nine square inches and appear even more detailed when viewed under magnification. A hallmark of their work is their ability to convey the feeling of a larger canvas or the essence of the natural world in miniature.
