An Open Mind and Steadfast Resolve
As early voting commences in Connecticut, join me in casting your vote for State Senator Christine Cohen for State Senate District 12. Christine Cohen has served in the State Senate since 2019, cultivating a career predicated on community advocacy. Following last cycle’s redistricting, Christine Cohen absorbed East Haven—applying those same principles to the unique issues surrounding my own community. For voters like me who value communication, transparency, and economic prosperity, her leadership in Hartford was a welcome improvement, and I’m thrilled to support her continued success at the ballot box.
A trailblazer in any space, Christine Cohen’s initiatives resonate with the needs of East Haven. Just recently, as Chair of the Transportation Committee, Christine worked together with the East Haven delegation to secure over $700,000 for pedestrian safety renovations to Messina Drive. After tragedy struck her home community, Christine led the passage of Ethan’s Law, requiring safe storage of firearms. When a student in Branford suffered injuries in a school bus accident, Christine worked with the family to pass legislation to improve bus safety.
Christine is a leader for both her constituents and policymakers in Hartford. As a member of the Finance Committee, she helped pass a bipartisan budget that delivered a historic $600 million tax cut while maxing out our rainy-day fund. Christine formed and co-chairs the bipartisan Coastal Caucus, focused on implementing shoreline resiliency measures across the state. She chairs the Transportation Committee and has directed the implementation of dozens of wrong-way driving countermeasures, improving the safety of our roadways.
Christine is a leader who approaches every issue with an open mind and steadfast resolve—and that is exactly the leader that I want representing me in Hartford. I encourage you to join me in voting for Christine Cohen on Tuesday, Nov. 5, or now at Town Hall!
