A Privilege
It’s a privilege to write this letter of support for the candidacy of Democrat Jane Wisialowski for State Representative.
As a colleague of mine on the Old Saybrook Board of Education (BOE), Jane is fair, reasonable, and brings an intelligent and cooperative voice to complex discussions. She carefully looks at each issue from diverse perspectives before making informed decisions. Her willingness to listen to and work with other members reflects her core belief that contention and obstruction do not solve any issues.
Jane joined the BOE after serving as what I would call a “super volunteer.” She was always willing to pitch in to develop a new program, like Science Day or to revive a long-standing tradition like Safe Grad Night. Jane’s willingness to do what needs to be done, rally others to the cause, and ensure that each effort was a success, particularly for the students.
Jane has been clear about where her priorities lie. She is a strong, caring, and determined advocate for students, parents, teachers, and staff. She will be a steadfast proponent for more affordable housing, which will bring young families to our communities. She wants to see the strongest and most sensible gun safety laws. Jane supports every parent’s right to decide what is appropriate for their children to read and will never support book banning in our schools and libraries. Jane will always do what’s best for our children – including sponsoring more funding for our school districts.
Other than Jane’s strong advocacy for education, her corporate experience relates directly to budgetary matters. Additionally, as a conservator, she has a strong background in social services, advocating for those needing assistance in navigating this complex system.
I enthusiastically endorse Jane’s candidacy and encourage you to support her this November.
