I am pleased to endorse Lisa Deane as a candidate for State Representative. There are few people who can match the deep admiration and respect I have for her and the work she has done. She is an inspiration to anyone she meets.

In 2018, shortly after Lisa tragically lost her son Joe to fentanyl poisoning, she started a non-profit, demandZero, to provide law enforcement with resources to fight drug trafficking and to educate the public on the dangers of illicit fentanyl.

Lisa and demandZero have purchased three drug detection canines, the canine police cruiser for the New Haven Police Department, and produced Finding Hope, an award-winning film about fentanyl awareness. These are just a few of the many, many things she has done, all in the face of unimaginable loss and grief.

Lisa has the commonsense values that we will all benefit from. As our State Representative, she will continue with the same dedication, boundless energy, and tireless effort to make our community, state, and country a safer and better place to live. I urge you to vote for Lisa Deane in the upcoming election.
