As an independent voter, I like to read up on all of the candidates before making a decision. I have always believed in voting for the best person. Having gotten to know Devin Carney over the past several years and witnessed his work ethic and passion for our community, he will get my vote this year.

One of the reasons I support Devin is for his commitment to our community. I serve with Devin on the Old Saybrook Senior Housing Board and can attest to how invested he is in the people he represents. He also serves locally as a member of The Rotary Club, the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce, and the Riverside Cemetery board. He manages to find the time for these organizations – and so many others – because he believes in service and wants to give back.

Devin is constantly at community events in order to ensure he understands all that is occurring in Old Saybrook – and to gain public opinion on the issues of the day. He takes this knowledge to Hartford and uses it to effectively and independently legislate.

Devin has never stopped caring about our community and has always been present for us. I hope you will join me in supporting him this year.
