Football Wins Big, Girls’ Soccer Earns Two Victories
Volleyball
On Sept. 23, Hand volleyball traveled to Guilford and fell 3-0. Grace Burton, junior outside hitter, had six kills and four aces. Julia Gallo, senior libero, recorded 23 digs and two aces.
Two days later, the Tigers hit the road to Plainville and took a 3-2 loss (25-18, 19-25, 19-25, 27-25, 10-15). Gallo had 36 digs and two aces, while Lena Aguzzi, sophomore setter, had 10 digs, 14 assists, and four aces.
The team ended the week hosting Sheehan on Sept. 27, and Hand won 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-22). Burton recorded eight kills and two aces. Grace Hall, senior captain and setter, had 15 assists and one ace.
Girls’ Soccer
Hand girls’ soccer traveled to Mercy on Sept. 23 and took a 3-0 loss.
Two days later, the team traveled to Sheehan and won 1-0. The Tigers goal was scored by Keely Parri, and it was assisted by Piper Lea. Tatum Cash had three saves.
On Sept. 27, the Tigers hit the road to Portland and earned a 3-0 win. Lea scored on a penalty kick, and Finnley Parri added the second score, assisted by Lea. Lea knocked in the final goal, this time assisted by Finnley Parri. Cash recorded two saves in net.
Football
On Sept. 27, the Hand football team hit the road to Berlin and earned a big 44-14 victory. Paul Calandrelli threw for three touchdowns. Tyler Narracci scored two rushing touchdowns, and Lucca Boyce scored one. Quinton O’Dea added two receiving touchdowns, and Sam Markovitz scored one.
