Devin Carney has been an outstanding leader in the legislature and for our district. He is very well-respected on both sides of the aisle in Hartford and has taken great lengths to increase bipartisan collaboration. He founded the Connecticut Future Caucus in order to work on issues of importance to young people - regardless of party. He was also honored by the national Future Caucus as a “Rising Star “ for these efforts,

Within his caucus, Devin serves in leadership, is the Ranking Member on the Transportation Bonding Subcommittee, and is a past Ranking Member of the Transportation Committee. He is known throughout the Capitol as someone who does his homework and is always prepared.

This past term, Devin has led the way on multiple fronts. He led the passage of legislation that reduces income taxes on IRA distributions and provides more relief from taxes on pensions. He led the passage of legislation to increase access to emergency contraception. He led the passage of legislation aimed at combating substance abuse a reducing wrong way accidents on our highways.

As you can tell, Devin is a multifaceted legislator and understands so many tough topics. I trust him to continue this type of lawmaking, and I encourage everyone to join me in supporting him this November.
