Has Worked Tirelessly
I am proud to endorse Christine Cohen for reelection to the 12th District Connecticut State Senate seat. First elected to the position in 2019, she has risen in prominence and importance in Connecticut state politics. However, I have always known her to be a down-to-earth person who responds personally to my emails. She shows genuine concern for her constituents and treats everyone with respect and dignity.
Over these past five years, she has informed me regarding my concerns and supported me vigorously. As the parent of two school-aged children and as a teacher in a local public school, I have found Christine Cohen to be a caring and efficient politician who has shown an interest in my family and needs.
Among her many accomplishments in Hartford that are important to me, she passed legislation that will appropriate 1.44 million dollars to fund 18 new domestic violence, child, and family advocates at domestic violence agencies statewide. She passed legislation requiring dating apps to provide notifications to users regarding background checks, and she created a new education and training program to help users identify, report, manage, and prevent online abuse. Additionally, she passed legislation that requires that state employees be educated on domestic violence and that makes resources available for victims.
For the past five years, Senator Cohen has worked tirelessly on behalf of the people of District 12.
She has an impressive array of accomplishments and a deep commitment to helping others.
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, I strongly urge voters to reelect Senator Christine Cohen.
