As a former 44-year resident of Madison and one who enjoyed some lovely parties at (the then-former Tremaine estate), I would be delighted to have the Tremaine Foundation as my new neighbor. Under its well-established stewardship, the property will be assured of excellent use and maintenance (as it is not necessarily under private ownership). And it will be a distinguished, widely recognized landmark that will add gravitas to the already lovely neighborhood.
