Alberta Christine Doxsee
Alberta Christine “Bunky” Doxsee (Botham) passed away peacefully on Aug. 4, 2024, in The Villages, Florida. Born in Willimantic, Sept. 29, 1943, she later moved to Clinton where she raised her family. She moved to Florida in 2006, where she built a successful career as a realtor in The Villages, helping many find their dream homes. A devout member of Hope Lutheran Church in The Villages, Bunky was deeply involved in her church community, contributing her time and energy to the church choir. Apart from her professional and religious commitments, she was an avid golfer, often found enjoying the greens of The Villages golf courses.
Bunky leaves behind her beloved husband, Harold Doxsee of 63 years; her daughter, Debra Knudsen and son-in-law Paul of Clinton; her son James Doxsee and daughter-in-law Maura of Killingworth. She was a loving grandmother to Laura Forster, Paul Knudsen (Christine), Elizabeth and Meghan Doxsee, and a great-grandmother to Avery and Bennett Forster and Finnegan and Tadhg Knudsen. In addition, she leaves behind her siblings, Douglas (Margaret) Botham, Leon (Despina) Botham, Almarita Harrington and Theresa Botham-Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalee and Leon Botham, as well as her son, Daniel Doxsee, and great-grandson, Jameson Knudsen.
Bunky will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her dedication to her family, and her contributions to her community. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
